If you have ever been to my house, you know that I obsessively move art around. When you are visiting, you will be asked to hold up an artwork while I step back and look at it from across the room. What am I doing? I am trying to decide where the artwork wants to live. Sometimes I want a wall of art to be harmonious, but more often I am looking to juxtapose unexpected images. What I always want, is to look at art that means something to me.

A few ideas to follow, or not;

group art by theme, display art on shelves, display art going up a stairway, hang a central image first and display other pieces around it, hang a single artwork off-center, lean art against a wall or set on a table, have a friend, a pencil, a level, and a hammer available, allow for the unexpected.
